In 2013 the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department in partnership with the University of Kansas Hospital has begun the HeartSafe Community Program. The goal of this program is to teach hands-only CPR to the citizens of our community. This unique “HeartSafe Community” partnership with the University of Kansas Hospital is one of the first of its kind in the nation. The “HeartSafe Community” mission is to empower you to know what to do and the ability to act immediately. The life you save could be a member of the community, a loved one or a friend.
