Community Corrections Adult Advisory Board

Appointed to determine the feasibility of implementing a community corrections plan for Wyandotte County.

Community Corrections Juvenile Advisory Board

The comprehensive plan will coordinate youth correction programs for County residents.

Commission on Human Relations & Disability Issues

Strives to develop programming that promotes goodwill, fosters mutual understanding, and encourages respectful and harmonious relations.

Ethics Commission

We implement the Code of Ethics, advising the UG on ethics policy and ensuring compliance with code provisions through regular review of governmental activities.

Golf Advisory Board

Advise on operating and maintaining Sunflower Hills Golf Course and future courses for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS.

Kansas City, KS Housing Authority Advisory Board

The UG Commission delegates to the Housing Authority all powers conferred on it by the Municipal Housing Law, including the construction, improvement, repair, and operation of the housing projects within the County.

Landmarks Commission

Responsible for overseeing the preservation of the county’s heritage by recommending the designation of historic sites and districts.

Law Enforcement Advisory Board

The LEAB serves as the Community Advisory Board to prevent biased policing.

Park Board

The Park & Recreation Commission plays an important, active role in the planning and development process for parks in Wyandotte County.

Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District Advisory Board

It represents property owners in the Downtown Shareholders’ KCK service area, also known as the Downtown Improvement District.

Wyandotte Leavenworth Area Wide Advisory Council on Aging

The Areawide Advisory Council helps the Area Agency on Aging plan, coordinate, and advocate for seniors in Wyandotte and Leavenworth Counties. Its goal is to promote independent and dignified lives for older individuals.

Wyandotte County Library Board

Contracts with libraries and sets the tax levy to provide services to residents in the Library District, including Piper, Edwardsville, and Turner.
