The Unified Government’s Legal Department, under the direction of the Chief Counsel, provides legal services to the Mayor, Board of Commissioners, County Administrator, boards, and all of the departments of the Unified Government and the Board of Public Utilities. The Chief Counsel is appointed by the County Administrator.
