Parkwood Pool "Learn to Swim Program" - Sign Up Event

Over the past few months a dynamic partnership with GEHA, YMCA, KCKPS and the UG Parks and Recreation department has been in the works to allow free swimming lessons for KCK youth at Parkwood Pool.

The sponsorship from GEHA was recently finalized and up to 200 KCK youth will be available to register to take free swimming lessons at Parkwood Pool starting next Monday.

Youth and families of Wyandotte County/ KCK are invited to attend the exciting Parkwood Pool "Learn to Swim" Program registration sign up event Sunday, July 10th, 2022 at Parkwood Pool from 2pm to 6pm. Families are able to register on the spot for one of the two upcoming week-long swimming lessons taught by the YMCA of Kansas City.

Program Details:

There will be two different weeklong sessions for various age groups and swim levels. Each registered youth will get free swim lessons, a GEHA branded swim towel, swimsuit, or swim shorts, if needed as well as swim caps.

Parkwood Pool “Learn to Swim” Program Dates:

July 11th- July 14th, 2022 - Lessons will be from 10am-12pm. (Families will be able to sign youth up for 30 minute timeslots for their designated week)
July 18th- July 21st, 2022 Lesson will be from 10am-12pm. (Families will be able to sign youth up for 30 minute timeslots for their designated week)
