KCK Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration

Monday, January 15, 2024 will mark 44 years of celebrating and bringing awareness to the attributes of Dr. King. This annual event is hosted by the Baptist Ministerial Alliance with the partnership of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS and Wyandotte County District Attorney.

This event will include a featured speaker and the presentation of scholarships to deserving students from Wyandotte County. To date, more than $1 million has been raised and distributed.

The Dream: It Starts with Me

The speaker will be Pastor Debleaire K. Snell, Director for Breath of Life Television Ministries and Senior Pastor of the Oakwood University Church in Huntsville, Alabama. In 1999, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Oakwood University. Paster Snell began his graduate school matriculation at Andrews University.

Pastor Snell is the author of seven books, including Kindle best-seller, Get Unrealistic, Almost Home, New Normals, Leap Year, and Making Christianity Great Again. He has had numerous articles and essays published. Pastor Snell is happily married to his wife of 19 years, Gianna, and they are grateful parents of Jadon, Brooke, and Braydon.
