Mobile Food Vendor Education and Resource Event on FOG

Mobile food vendors in Kansas City, Kansas, are invited to join the Kansas City, Kansas Environmental Services team for an educational session focused on fats, oils, grease (FOG), and grey water management. The session will provide practical information on best practices for FOG disposal and an opportunity to connect with Unified Government departments and partners.

NOTE: This event has been rescheduled from Wednesday, February 19th to Wednesday, February 26th, due to extreme weather conditions. 

What to Expect

  • Presentation: A 30–40 minute overview from Environmental Services on how FOG and gray water affect local wastewater and stormwater systems.
  • Q&A Session: A chance to ask questions and provide feedback.
  • Open-House: Engage with booths hosted by UG teams, including KCK Police, KCK Fire, Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC), and Public Health Department, as well as state and local partners. Learn how each group is tackling challenges and working together to support the community.

The presentation and Q&A session will begin at 2:30 PM. Doors open at 2:15 PM. Light refreshments and snacks will be available. RSVPs are not required.
