Over 75 Organizations Awarded with the 2024 Hollywood Casino Grant

Over 75 organizations serving Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS were recently awarded with the 2024 Hollywood Casino Grant. The Board of Commissioners established a grant fund to improve the community health of Wyandotte County. Funding for this grant is possible because of an annual contribution from the Hollywood Casino.

The Hollywood Casino Grant is an annual program, made possible by a contribution by the Hollywood Casino, that supports local nonprofits working on community health initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles, access to fresh food, and physical activity with grants. Each Commission district is granted a comparable amount each grant cycle.

The Unified Government awarded 76 community organizations for the 2024 Hollywood Casino Grant. Grants are made only to nonprofits that have current 501(c)(3) status. Award amounts range from $500.00 - $23,000 for selected organizations.
