Phase 1 of the Holliday Drive bridge replacement project, east of 78th Street, is now complete. With the successful completion of this first phase, work will now shift to Phase 2, focusing on the bridge at 73rd Street.

Starting the week of August 26, traffic patterns and signalization will remain consistent with what drivers experienced during Phase 1. Holliday Drive will stay open throughout this phase, but traffic will continue to be limited to one lane at the construction site. Commuters can still pass through the area, but should expect delays. Mobile signals will guide the traffic flow, ensuring safety as work progresses.

As with the first phase, the new bridge at 73rd Street will be wider, improving safety by reducing the likelihood of vehicles running off the road. This expansion also allows for the future addition of more lanes or bike paths. The project is on track to be completed by October 2024.

The upgraded bridges will offer a smoother, safer driving experience and better management of stormwater during heavy rain.
