Chapell Named Livable Neighborhoods Executive Director

This week, the Unified Government announced that Minah Chapell has been promoted to the position of Program Coordinator for the Livable Neighborhoods office/ Executive Director for the Livable Neighborhoods Task Force, effective immediately. This promotion recognizes her performance and dedication to the Livable Neighborhoods office in her previous role as Professional Program Assistant/Neighborhood Liaison. 

"Minah has demonstrated her commitment to bettering our community by promoting Livable Neighborhoods and community engagement, which will be instrumental in efforts to move the organization and our community forward," said Neighborhood Resource Director Greg Talkin. "We are confident that she will continue to excel in her new role and contribute significantly to future successes."

Chapell is a lifelong Dotte, passionate about fostering human connection and community care. She holds a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in Hispanic language & literature, and social work. With professional experience related to education, community engagement, and resident empowerment, Minah hopes to leverage her skills to bolster civic participation and kindle a ‘duty to care’ while in her role as Program Coordinator for Unified Government’s Livable Neighborhoods.
