The Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department wants to thank everyone from The Dotte who came out for their annual "Christmas In July" at Wyandotte County Lake on Friday, July 22, 2023!
Park officials estimated that more than 1,000 people attended the event, with more than 250 registering for free drawings of door prizes.
Visitors young and old competed in a fishing derby as well as participated in yard games. There was plenty to eat from various food trucks on site and music was played by a live DJ.
Three lucky pontoon boat owners won prizes for Best Decorated Boat, while they and other pontoon boats paraded through the Marina Friday night.
The event concluded with a spectacular fireworks display over the lake.
