Last week, Interim Fire Chief Dennis Rubin, along with over 200 Kansas City, Kansas (KCKFD) Firefighters attended the Fire Rescue International - International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) annual conference at the Kansas City Convention Center.
At the 150th IAFC anniversary conference, KCKFD firefighters and 30,000 attendees from across the country were offered 3-days of jammed packed professional and personal development, as well as networking opportunities with colleagues and vendors in the fire field.
“Fire Service Conferences present valuable opportunities to learn about cutting edge research, meet leaders and industry experts, and build strong professional relationships with others in the Fire Service," said Interim Fire Chief Dennis Rubin. "I believe conferences can be a great way to stay motivated and inspired. When you hear about the accomplishments of others in your field, it can help push you to reach new heights in your career as well improve your knowledge and skillset.”
