UG Announces Extended Hours for Recycling & Yard Waste Center

In response to the recent storms, the Solid Waste Division will extend the hours of operation for the Recycling and Yard Waste Center. The center will be open this Wednesday, May 22 through Saturday, May 25 and next Wednesday, May 29 through Saturday, June 1, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The Recycling & Yard Waste Center is open to Wyandotte County residents at no charge. Proof of residency is required, bring something with your name and address on it (driver's license, BPU bill, etc.). Accepted items include grass clippings, garden trimmings, leaves, branches up to 4 feet in length, and stumps (not exceeding 12 inches in diameter).
