Mayor Garner and Commissioners Honor Community with Dotte Proud Cards Published on July 12, 2024 During the July 11, 2024, full commission meeting, Mayor Tyrone Garner and Chief of Staff Irene Caudillo presented the community with a new initiative called "Dotte Proud" Cards. AARP Awards $15K to the UG as Part of Nationwide Program Published on June 26, 2024 Today, AARP announced that the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS (UG) has received a 2024 Community Challenge grant as part of the largest group of grantees to date with $3.8 million awarded among 343 organizations nationwide. Downtown KCK Officially Designated as Historic Commercial District Published on February 05, 2024 The UG is proud to announce that on Saturday, February 3, 2024, the Kansas State Historic Sites Board of Review (HSBR) unanimously approved the nomination of Downtown Kansas City, Kansas commercial district for the Register of Historic Kansas Places.
