The Wyandotte County District Attorney's Office in partnership with AdHoc Group Against Crime are administering the Federal Byrne State Crisis Intervention Grant, or "SCIP" grant. Through a program called LET'S RAPP" (Lessening Effects of Trauma, Strengthening Resources Assistance Prevention and Partnerships), the goal is to gain the best possible outcome of preventing and reducing gun violence in Wyandotte County. The program will offer emergency services such as relocation assistance, rental assistance, immediate housing, transportation, and other daily services. Funds will also be available to assist if damages are done to property, whether a victim or witness. Incidentals such as medical equipment can include pharmacy and prescription medications, transportation to medical appointments/hospital, copays, wheelchair/crutches, ADA compliant or accessibility, i.e. ramps to stairs, etc. Counseling is also offered through a crisis case management process.
