Judge Meaghan E. Shultz
Administrative Judge
The Honorable Meaghan E. Shultz received her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in December 2003. She received her B.S. in Justice Systems and Psychology from Truman State University in August 2000. After graduating from law school, she engaged in the private practice of law before joining the Unified Government as a Municipal Prosecutor in 2005.
She is a member of the Wyandotte County Bar Association. She participated in Leadership 2000 Class XXX. She has served as a volunteer through her church and at various schools in the community.
Judge Karen C. Wittman
Municipal Court Judge
The Honorable Karen C. Wittman received her J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in May of 1991. She received her B.S. in Forensic Science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida in 1981 and worked in a crime lab prior to attending law school. She has been a prosecutor throughout most of her legal career. In 2016, Judge Wittman received the Kansas People Saving People Award from the Kansas Department of Transportation. In 2021, she received the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration’s Public Service Award for her commitment to traffic safety.
She is a member of the Wyandotte County Bar Association. She volunteers extensively at Harvesters and Uplift Organization serving the homeless in the Kansas City Metro.
