Community Corrections

Promoting safety within our community through responsive risk reduction.

The Department of Community Corrections is responsible for the intervention, supervision, and monitoring of adult and youthful offenders on probation, conditional release from State Correctional Facilities, bond supervision, house arrest/electronic monitoring, system case expeditor services, and Specialty Drug/Alcohol and Behavioral Health Courts.

Divisions

Adult Services

The division provides case management services to adults on probation supervision in Wyandotte County.

Criminal Justice Program Services

The division provides cognitive education services, adult probationer workforce development services, drug testing services, and management of the 29th Judicial District’s adult drug/alcohol and behavioral health courts.

Pre-Trial House Arrest Services

The division provides bond supervision, pre-trial supervision, house arrest/electronic monitoring and adult case expeditor services.

Youth Services

The division provides case management services to youth on probation, State of Kansas custody and post-release supervision in Wyandotte County, youth workforce development services, management of the Youth Justice Center (Day Reporting), and youth case expediting services.
